Fountains & Ponds Installation Westchester, Rockland & Putnam County NY & Connecticut

For natural aeration and beautiful aquatic landscaping effects for your residence or business you may want to consider a beautiful pond and fountain installation.

At MCP Lawn Irrigation we adhere to a very high standard of building top quality landscape ponds and fountains. And as always we provide fast, friendly & professional service to all of our customers. Building ponds and fountains is one of the services we offer and take great pride in our craftsmanship.

Before we can begin your pond and fountain installation, you need to decide where to locate it. This is something we will consult with you on extensively. Firstly, you’ll want to be sure you are aware where
all in ground infrastructure may be. Such infrastructure can include electrical lines, phone lines, cables, house or water drains, water pipes, sprinkler systems, septic tanks, and other such things.

It is imperative that such things lines be considered, protected, or that the pond be located somewhere else. Sometimes such obstructions can be moved or relocated – such as drain pipes or downspouts – sometimes not. If there are utilities where the installation is to take place, we may have to call the electrical, phone, or cable company for permission. It is also good to avoid areas with overhead electrical or phone lines if you can in case they fall down or need servicing.

We’d also need to consider where existing plants and shrubs are in the yard. In some instances plants and flowers can be moved. You can transplant plants away from an area to save them but allow a pond. If you want to reduce leaf litter, we can place the pond away from trees as well. Large existing trees may have roots that extend into the area where you want the pond. It may be wise to move the pond farther away or cut the roots and put up a blockade of some sort to try to keep them from pushing on the side of the pond.

When the site is decided, it is time to begin the installation process. Once we’re done working closely with you on these preliminary steps as outlined above, we handle everything as it relates to bringing your new pond and fountain installation to life.

We use AquaAir aerators made by industry leader Aqua Master. AquaAir provides ponds and lakes with superior aeration, circulation, and de-stratification. Dissolved oxygen (DO) levels are increased throughout the entire water column with the use of bottom-mounted diffusers. The diffusers employ a super fine micro-bubble technology resulting in the highest diffuser oxygen transfer rate (OTR) available today. The micro-bubbles draw water from the pond floor to the surface where atmospheric oxygen is absorbed and then transferred throughout the water column. This process provides excellent deterrence to thermal stratification (layers of different temperature within the water). The diffusers are connected by self-weighted Super Sink air supply tubing to a revolutionary cylindrical design enclosure containing one of four compressor sizes. System sizes range from 1/3 to 1 HP and operate with one to six diffusers.
