Water Management - A Better Future For All Of Us
HOW TO HAVE A HEALTHIER LANDSCAPE WHILE SAVING MONEY AND CONSERVING WATER - ONE OF OUR MOST PRECIOUS RESOURCES
Irrigation systems can be a great asset to help
maintain and protect your landscape and the overall beauty of your home. Let a
Smart Controller do the thinking for you.
Now you can save money and reduce your
irrigation system water consumption by
30 - 70% and still have a lush landscape.

Using Weather Based Controllers with
Weather Stations, Rain Counters, Rain
Sensors, Moisture Sensors, Flow Sensors,
Sprinkler Heads with Check Valves & Pressure
Regulation can help reduce wasted water due
to over watering , leaks and run-off.
Weather and moisture based controllers can
actually help reduce the amount of chemicals
required to maintain your lawn and landscape
by reducing over watering which promotes turf
fungus and disease.
Rainwater Harvesting Systems... can be
designed to collect rainwater from roofs and
other structures or run-off water from
commercial heating and cooling systems.
Being Rainbird Select Contractor and
Tucor Advantage Contractors we have the
products and tools to help you conserve one
of our most precious resources and our
environment.
As Irrigation Association Certified
Landscape Irrigation Auditors, Designers &
Contractors as well as members of The
Irrigation Association, The Connecticut
Irrigation Association, New York Irrigation
Association, and EPA Water Smart we have
the knowledge and continual training and
education to help you conserve water, save
money and improve the quality of your
landscape.
Water Conservation
Conservation of our most precious natural resource – water – is our paramount consideration. All of our systems are designed with water conservation and reliability in mind. We use the latest technologies in multi-program automatic controllers, rain sensors, and sprinkler heads. The heads we use are designed with high efficiency nozzles for even watering, pressure compensating devices to balance the system, check valves to prevent low head drainage, drip irrigation for precise watering, and separate lawn and shrub zones to properly water different plant materials.
Automatic system savings-
WATER SAVINGS: Automatic systems use less water – and use the water more effectively – to maintain healthy plant material. The elimination of manual intervention to water a lawn means no more leaving sprinklers running in one area for hours or watering in the rain. The greatest waste of water comes from applying too much, too often -- much of the water is never absorbed.
TIME SAVINGS: Automatic systems save time by watering on preset programs during hours when property is not in use. Local water restrictions are also considered when configuring preset programs. This all adds up to leaving you more time for other activities!
COST SAVINGS: Automatic systems save money by conserving water thereby lowering water bills. Automatic systems also insure longer living, healthier plants and lush green healthier lawns. This means saving money on plant replacement and lawn repair!
CONCENTRATE WATER WHERE IT COUNTS:
If you have an underground sprinkler system, make sure the sprinkler heads are adjusted properly to avoid watering sidewalks and driveways. A properly adjusted sprinkler head should spray large droplets of water instead of a fine mist to minimize evaporation and wind drift.
USE DRIP SYSTEMS:
When it comes to watering individual trees, flowerbeds, potted containers, or other nongrassy areas, consider applying water directly to the roots using low volume drip irrigation. This will reduce water waste through evaporation or runoff, and will prevent unwanted weeds from growing.
WATER ACCORDING TO WEATHER: Adjust your irrigation system as the seasons and weather change. Or better yet, install a shut-off device that automatically detects rain or moisture. These devices are inexpensive and enable you to take advantage of the water without having paying for it.
